BIMICO ALWAYS FOCUSES ON THE BALANCE BETWEEN BUSINESS GOALS AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS.

In 2021, BIMICO ensured stable work and competitive welfare regimes for employees; actively contributed to social security programs, supported the fght against the Covid-19 epidemic in the operating areas with a total in-cash and in-kind amount of more than VND 5.7 billion. Besides, the Company organized many meaningful activities such as free medical examination for poor patients in Ben Tre; Giving 300 gift bags to workers in motels in Di An City during the time of social distancing; Support to equip computer rooms for students with diffculties in remote areas… These were proofs of the company’s efforts to implement social responsibility.

2022 continues to be a challenging year but also opens up many opportunities when the Government implements economic stimulus programs, increases public investment… Thereby, the Management and all employees will make great efforts to take advantage of every opportunity available, for the Company’s common development and continue to contribute to the prosperity of the community-society.

EXPLOITING POLICY TO LIMIT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS 

As an enterprise operating in the field of mining and mineral processing, bimico understands the importance of environmental protection. Bimico’s production and business activities are directly affected by the environment because this is the source of input materials, and vice versa, it also has a direct impact on the environment.

The company has a policy of always maintaining the level of exploitation of natural resources within a certain allowable limit, not degrading ponds, lakes, rivers, threatening wildlife, and not using toxic chemicals in production and business, does not contaminate water and food sources.

Simultaneously, BIMICO is always careful in choosing advanced techniques and technologies to increase output, as well as expand the scale of production and exploitation… BIMICO has gradually moved from developing in width to depth, and actively develop and improve mechanisms and policies related to the protection, exploitation and use of minerals in a more rational, economical and effcient manner. Activities related to environmental impact management are increasingly balanced compared to other business and production activities.

For example, the development and maintenance of environmental related works is done from the very frst stages when implementing any BIMICO project. This helps BIMICO to minimize negative impacts on the environment, thereby improving resource management responsibilities, as well as minimizing risks related to violations of regulations on environmental protection. 

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Environmental protection is always appreciated by the Company and regularly checks and requires the units to properly and fully implement the committed environmental protection measures. Fully implement the committed documents in accordance with the provisions of the Law: Registration of hazardous waste source owners, contracts with units with the function of collecting and treating hazardous waste and domestic waste; permits for discharge of waste into water sources; license to exploit and use groundwater; fully declare and pay the environmental protection fee for sewage; pay deposit for environmental protection for mineral mines. Carry out periodic environmental monitoring as committed.

MEASURES TO REDUCE AIR POLLUTION

Spraying water at dust dispersal locations of stone crushers; watering along transportation routes; Plant trees around mines, factories, and production areas. Carrying goods in the right size, with the right load, covered with canvas to cover the trunk of the vehicle, sweeping the transportation route.

For the offce, BIMICO regularly disseminates regulations on environmental sanitation and hygiene in the workplace to all employees in the Company because it only takes a small action from each individual to make a positive contribution to environmental protection. Joining hands in maintaining workplace hygiene will help employees protect their own health and safety and also protect the environment.

In addition, the Company regularly checks and upgrades the sewage treatment system as well as closely inspects the periodic inspection, maintenance and calibration activities to improve effciency and service life and at the same time minimize negative impact on the environment.
